Dr. Cathy Holloway is the co-founder and an academic director of the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub). She is also an associate professor in UCL’s Interaction Centre. GDI exists to accelerate disability innovation for a fairer world. GDI has grown out of the London Paralympic Legacy and builds on the academic excellence of the partner institutions.
“We create new realities for disabled people. We break down the barriers which have been constructed by society and open doors to new possibilities. We tackle the tough problems, which are not necessarily the most sexy. We achieve this through human-centred design and with brilliant partnerships. In short we believe innovation is helping to ensure no one is left behind.”
